New two-port redundant AVS delivered to RTHK
aQ Broadcast are pleased to announce that Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), have taken delivery of their first aQ Broadcast Video Server (AVS). Purchased through aQ Broadcast’s local channel partner i-Solutions, the video server is to be used as part of a studio to support RTHK’s new channel. The server in question was the first unit to be shipped as the new redundant variation on the existing two-port Linux-based AVS video server. The new product, which offers a media volume configured as RAID-10 and a redundant PSU, was added to aQ Broadcast’s already extensive range at the end of 2013. The server will allow RTHK to ingest or playback on either channel, edit and view files as they are being ingested, mark and sub-clip and create sequences for playout.
